About our client:

• Our client is a leading payments company dedicated to transforming the payment landscape by providing a risk-free and empowering payment solution. Their payment solution aims to alleviate debt burdens, enabling shoppers to pay as they earn, free from the threat of accumulating charges. What you will be doing:

• Responsible for leading a data engineering team that processes all data engineering requests for the organisation.
• Maintaining and optimising databases on AWS in relation to security, reliability and cost.
• Building and maintaining pipelines that export various AWS databases (typically DynamoDB, QLDB, RDS) on a fixed schedule cross account.
• Taking ownership of the data module account, ensuring reliable data delivery and ingestion into the Snowflake data warehouse.
• Responsible for the ETL process into Snowflake dataware utilising dbt to define data models according to business requirements.
• Working closely with the organisation as a whole to align on the various data models to build.

What you need:

• Extensive experience in all things data with a focus on AWS.
• Strong practical experience in ETL using Snowflake and dbt.
• Relevant AWS certifications or an ability to prove exceptional experience on prior projects.
• Experience in database configuration and query optimisation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as experience leading a team.
• Experience with graph databases like Amazon Neptune is advantageous.
