PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • The Demand Planner is accountable for generating a stable, accurate rolling forecast covering all stores and B2B channels. The role integrates analytical modelling, commercial insight, promotional activity, seasonality and system logic into a clear demand signal that drives replenishment, procurement, capacity planning and financial accuracy.
  • A successful Demand Planner balances statistical rigour with strong cross-functional engagement, ensuring forecasts are both credible and operationally practical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain statistical forecasts in Slimstock across all categories.
  • Integrate promotional uplift, commercial insights, NPD, delisting’s and space constraints.
  • Lead the monthly forecast exception cycle.
  • Maintain all forecast parameters: seasonality, lifecycle, segmentation and models.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Operations on weekly trading reviews.
  • Provide early warning signals for demand risks, shifts and anomalies.
  • Produce weekly and monthly accuracy/bias reports.
  • Support S&OP Demand Review with insights and scenarios.
  • Align forecast logic with Slimstock behavioural rules and parameter settings.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics or Industrial Engineering or similar
  • 3 – 7 years in in Demand Planning or similar analytical role
  • Strong Excel and Power BI experience

Preferred:

  • SAPICS Diploma
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP exposure
  • SQL Python or statistical modelling knowledge

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft.
