Derivco South Africa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Developer Level 1 to be part of our dynamic team.

As a key member of our development team, you will be involved in the creation and enhancement of software components using C# and the .NET framework among other technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and understanding designs supplied by senior Software Developers.
• Development, release, and maintenance of software components that not only meet the design and business requirements but also adhere to our high standards, all under the guidance of senior developers.
• Utilizing C# and .NET to develop and maintain automated functional tests, basic tooling, and related artefacts, with guidance from senior team members.
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation that supports the development and maintenance processes.
• Actively participating in code reviews within your team to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Ensuring the software quality of individual software components by rigorously testing and refining code.
• Maintaining the foundational building blocks of the software component’s continuous integration pipeline, under the supervision of more experienced team members.
• Estimating the effort required for your own work with support from senior developers.
• Resolving issues that affect the functionality of the software components you develop.
