DevOps Engineer – Sandton

• In this exciting role, you’ll be instrumental in driving innovation and efficiency through DevOps practices. You’ll leverage your expertise in AWS and a range of cutting-edge technologies to automate deployments, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and ensure robust infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation (Cfn) templates and AWS CDK.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Ansible.
• Script automation tasks using Python.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools like CodeDeploy, Lambda, Step Functions, and ECS.
• Design and implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes.
• Configure and manage strong network and security controls within the AWS environment.
• Collaborate with developers, traders, and security teams to deliver solutions and ensure a high level of service.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a strong focus on AWS.
• Expertise in CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with AWS DevOps tools (CodeDeploy, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS).
• Experience with containerisation technologies (ideally Kubernetes).
• Strong network and security knowledge on AWS.
