• As our DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our continuous delivery journey, playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and releasing software with increased frequency, speed, and reliability. You will leverage your expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, underpinned by Lean thinking, to champion continuous improvement and foster a strong collaborative culture between development, testing, and operations. Its a contract for 6 months

Responsibilities

• Elevate Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement innovative solutions to significantly increase operational efficiency and drive tangible cost-effectiveness across our technology landscape.
• Strategic Cost Management: Take ownership of cost control within your business area, proactively planning, implementing, managing, and reporting on cost-effectiveness initiatives. You will be key in identifying and escalating any variances.
• Risk Mitigation & Policy Contribution: Effectively manage high-risk and complex financial issues within your area of accountability, contributing valuable insights to the development and refinement of relevant policies.
• Build Bridges & Foster Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships across teams, proactively managing expectations, sharing knowledge and diverse perspectives, and building crucial buy-in for your initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Engage actively in cross-functional relationships, providing and seeking vital work support to ensure seamless workflows and shared success.
• Contribute to Competitive Advantage: Stay ahead of the curve by engaging in external networking, benchmarking, and representing our organization in relevant industry forums, contributing to our sustained competitive edge.
• Understand & Address Client Needs: Utilize a structured requirements process to thoroughly assess client needs, expertly gathering, analysing, documenting, and managing any subsequent changes.

Qualification 

• Proven Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Azure Credentials: Hold an AZ-104 certification; AZ-305 certification would be a significant advantage.
• Solid experience with version control tools such as Git and BitBucket.
• Demonstrated experience in provisioning and operating Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools, whether within Azure DevOps or using Jenkins.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and RHEL operating systems.
• Experience with containerization platforms like AKS and OpenShift would be highly beneficial.
• Runtime Environment Familiarity: Understanding of runtime environments including .NET, IIS, Tomcat, and Wildfly.
