Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Hire Resolves client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Wetton, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, as well as a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant flushes
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines
• Inspect and test diesel engines to ensure they are functioning properly
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the repair process
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding work status and any potential issues

Requirements:

• Qualified Diesel/ Earthmoving Mechanic or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 Years Experience
• Experience and knowledge of earthmoving and construction machinery
• Experience and working knowledge of related disciplines, preventative maintenance principles, SA National Road Traffic Act and related legislation and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
• Fault- finding
• Repair cost estimates 
• Planet assessments and quality control 
• Ordering of parts and materials and the controlling of costs 
• Minor and major repairs both in a workshop environment and on site
• The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
