QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a Related Field

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • 5 years experience in content creation in the digital space
  • 5 years experience managing marketing for an ecommerce store
  • An in-depth understanding of social media marketing management including strategy development, paid advertising and content creation for the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of Agricultural Industry in South Africa beneficial
  • Knowledge of B2C sales concepts and applications
  • Thorough understanding of e-commerce digital marketing best practices including market research, targeting and retargeting techniques, campaign ideation and content development, search engine optimization, marketing reporting and analytics
  • In-depth knowledge of Search Engine Marketing practices

SKILLS:  

  • Fluent in E-commerce digital marketing tools, including but not limited to: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Adwords, Google Merchant Centre, Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs, SEMrush or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Graphic design and video editing skills highly beneficial – Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Premiere Pro, Vimeo, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Good customer service and networking skills
  • Good organizational skills

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Implement an integrated social media strategy that supports the company’s marketing objectives
  • Create, sustain and grow brand awareness
  • Produce creative and original content (copy, captions, images, and video) for all social media platforms, while maintaining a consistent, high-quality brand image
  • Respond to followers’ comments and questions across all social media platforms in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent customer care.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media updates, trends, and collaborators
  • Create content reports and analyze data
  • Drive the blog content plans and develop newsletters
  • Responsible for website updates
  • Required to organize and coordinate tasks related to team-building and events
  • Monitor social media trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Foster community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and promotions.
