Dispatch Clerk (Gqeberha) needed at AFGRI Equipment

Description

• Coordinate the total distribution of final products by ensuring that distribution trucks are loaded and documents are completed correctly and on time.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 
• 2 years experience in an animal feed factory, with an understanding of the  total production distribution process 
• Distribution experience is a strong advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manage the loading of vehicles according to vehicle capacity and distribution and according to the priority list
• Oversee the weighing of empty and loaded trucks and collect weighbridge ticket
• Oversee the loading and offloading action, ensure minimum standing time, and ensure and oversee overall discipline in the loading area.
• Manage the taking of samples
• Monitor quality control according to expected standard
• Maintain accurate records, manage documentation, and ensure smooth shift transitions. 
• Oversee loader operations, enforce discipline, and ensure driver hygiene and uniform standards.
• Inspect the weighbridge every week
• Receive feed returns following the correct procedure
• Ensure the general neatness of the dispatch office, drivers, vehicles, weighbridge area and the wash bay area
• Plan delivery times and load planning
• Provide quality client service at all times
• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Act and ensure safety practices are adhered to in the work environment
• Identify potential hazards and breaches of safety regulations and report them to your supervisor
