Drain Inspector needed at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• Trade-tested Artisan Plumber.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
• Two to three years’ relevant experience.

Key attributes & competencies:

• Good oral and written communication skills in English (a prerequisite).
• Report-writing skills.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Be physically fit and able-bodied.
• Work in all weather conditions.

As part of the selection process, the recommended candidate will be required to undergo a medical examination at the Municipality’s Occupational Health and Safety Division.

Job purpose:

• Performing tasks and activities associated with Drainage Inspection Services through the application of laid-down procedures with respect to the monitoring, quality-checking and correcting of drainage usage and installation, conducting inspections of drainage systems in order to ensure optimum drainage quality levels are maintained.
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
