RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • As E-Commerce Specialist you will support with the development and execution of online content strategies, ensuring the brand’s presence across digital platforms is consistent and engaging. You will assist in managing product listings, optimizing content for search engines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement promotional campaigns. Additionally, you will help analyse sales data and trends, contributing to trade marketing initiatives that drive online traffic, conversion, and overall business growth. Responsible for building a strong, revenue-led business strategy, the E-Commerce Specialist drives growth through retail media planning, content excellence, SKU optimization, Retail Media, and conversion-led digital execution.
  • The role requires strong knowledge of full funnel digital marketing, especially retail media (onsite & offsite), and driving long-term category leadership. This role will influence future platform development, annual JBPs, and retailer media innovations to shape Coty Africa’s digital commerce strategy.

Your main areas of responsibility will include the following:

  • Defining the local e-retail content requirements and ensuring optimal content is deployed to sales on time.
  • Define the perfect local store online standards and deploy across e-commerce sales teams.
  • Track on-line sales fundamentals with systemic action plan and follow-up with sales to close gaps.
  • Translate national brand plans into e-commerce tailored conceptual sales
  • Own retailer.com media planning and activation.
  • Own the relationship and direction of our (in-house) digital agency for development of retailer.com campaigns.
  • Develop e-commerce specific promotions and packs to accelerate our e-commerce growth.
  • Articulate the key needs of e-commerce in terms of 4P`s back to the broader business unit organization
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the internal brand teams and sales teams.
  • Guarantee the respect of all Fashion Houses guidelines.
  • Ensure the right presence on brands across top SKUs to ensure discoverability, build customer experience through brand pages under e-tailers and product page details and compelling reasons to drive purchases
  • Build a sustainable relationship with existing accounts. Answering day-to-day client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • The expert on e-account by building a formidable relationship to drive agreed business growth and turnover.
  • Scope out opportunities for growth and key initiatives to leverage category growth and market share within key accounts.
  • Innovate and activate key launches, campaigns and collaborations with marketing and digital for impactful brand presence leading to business.
  • Ensure the right presence on brands across top SKUS to ensure discoverability, build customer experience through brand pages under e-tailers and product page details and compelling reasons to drive purchase.
  • Analyse the results of the sales in depth to jointly develop new ways to optimize the performance of the accounts
  • Gather cross-functional inputs, to determine company-wide opportunity values.
  • Support the development of e-commerce and omni-channel strategies.

You have a passion for beauty! As a Trade Marketing Specialist, you will develop multi-tasking skills and get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience in ecommerce marketing
  • Have a degree or diploma in marketing or similar tertiary education
  • Have proven ability to drive retail success of a brand/product
  • Managed marketing budgets
  • Have experience with luxury products.  Fragrance, colour and skincare are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the market and understanding lifestyle category and market segments
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Have a good command of the English languagev
