Key Responsibility Areas

• Performing general tasks of a basic nature which includes excavation and reinstatement work, and the operation of handheld machines and tools, relating to such general duties.
• Carry out of hand and/or spray washing of 11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV, and 275 kV equipment in line with live yards under supervision.
• Opening of tanks, removal, cleaning and replacement and topping up of oil insulating oil in electrical equipment as directed by the supervisor.
• Keeping tools, specialized tools and specialized materials required for the tasks at hand.
• Coupling, de-coupling and stowing of trailers, compressors and other machinery.
• Transporting and connecting gas bottles of up to 50 kg.

Essential Requirements

• Appropriate level of secondary education.
• 6 months experience in electrical construction or maintenance work

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year relevant experience in HV electrical construction or maintenance work.
