Responsibilities:
- Functional Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain engineering best practices to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company engineering policies, procedures, and technical standards.
- Provide technical support to optimize production and maintenance processes.
- Implementation of Engineering Practices:
- Apply engineering principles to enhance performance, reliability, and sustainability.
- Develop and execute engineering projects to improve safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure alignment with industry regulations and company standards.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) at an intermediate level.
- Experience with JD Edwards or a relevant equivalent ERP system.
- Utilize Dynamic Production Monitoring System, Active Factory Tool, Achiever, Isometrics & QlikView for data analysis and reporting.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve engineering and operational issues.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
- Utilize data-driven methodologies for troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and all relevant Codes of Practice (COPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to ISO Standards and Environmental Procedures.
- Ensure safe and compliant High Tension (HT) Switching practices.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Engineering Technical Trade Test in Electrical (MQA preferred)
- Engineering Certificate N3
- First Line Supervision / Supervisory certificate
- 4 years operational Mining / Maintenance environment experience
- 3 years’ Team / Project leader / Supervisory experience
