Job Specification/ Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, regulations, processes, systems, procedures, and practices.
  • Expert knowledge of general maintenance processes and systems.
  • Good understanding of plant processes and procedures.
  • Project and contractor management.
  • Coaching of artisans.
  • Auditing as required
  • Communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide Technical Support.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Task orientated and natural drive to complete tasks timeously
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environment, heights, and confined areas.
  • Ability to work standby and shift work as and when required.
  • Able to support the organization in times of emergencies.
  • Proficient in the official business language, good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate efficiently to team members.
  • Suitable candidate will be required to perform other duties that are related to the function as prescribed by business requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license

Education/Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum: N6 National Diploma in electrical engineering Qualifications or Higher National Diploma in electrical engineering from University of technology
  • Minimum experience: ECSA approved candidate technician program + 3 years, or N6 + 8 years in Heavy Industry, Automation and instrumentation
  • Computer literacy:
  • MS Office
  • SAP (advantageous) HMI Software
  • PLC software
