Purpose of the position 

To perform repairs and maintenance on equipment in the plant to ensure optimum availability and efficiency.

Job Specific Experience

• Minimum of 3 years post trade experience.

Qualifications & Expertise

• Minimum Matric 
• N3 plus Trade Tested Electrician
• Wireman’s License/Installation Rules will be an advantage
• Recognition for prior learning will be considered/given

Competencies

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and without supervision accurately and timeously

Functional Outputs

• Perform faultfinding.
• Attend to breakdowns
• Electrical installations
• Perform repairs and maintenance on Electrical equipment

General

• Electronic Motor Protection
• Experience on PLC’s and AC/DC Drives
• Experience on SAP
• Computer literacy
• Must be prepared to carry out standby duties.
