Engineering Manager: Winders needed at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for an Engineering Manager: Winders to be based at a Mine in the North West!

Responsibilities:

• Legally appointed 2.13.1, ensuring full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and all winder-related statutory requirements.
• Provide expert technical leadership to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all winders and associated shaft systems.
• Audit, review, and update Winder Codes of Practice (COPs), standards, and regulations to maintain operational excellence and legal compliance.
• Define and oversee winder specifications, upgrades, and capital projects in collaboration with OEMs and consultants to ensure long-term equipment sustainability.
• Lead, train, and mentor winder personnel, driving performance, skills development, and readiness to respond effectively to breakdowns and operational challenges.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines and Works
• 10 years working experience commissioning, fault finding and conducting repairs on Winders
• Valid Driver’s License Code 08
