- A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or BTech degree in Environmental Health
- Registration as an Environmental Health Practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for independent practice
- 1 year’s completed Community Service in Environmental Health Peace Officer
- Registration with Department of Agriculture if applicable
- Knowledge of the relevant Acts and Regulations pertaining to Environmental Health
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence
- Prepared to work in a red zone area including weekends and/or at night if required
- Must be physically fit
