Requirements

  • A relevant three – year tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Governance principles and SETA processes and systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Valid Driver’s licence

Key Performance Areas

  • Develop plans and strategies on the development and implementation of the WSP, Internal and External Opportunities programs
  • Manage and perform the functions of Skills Development as defined by the relevant regulations, polies and Act.
  • Ensuring compliance of the WSP with BBBBEE
  • Ensure the Learning Management systems complies to the requirements set by the LGSETA
  • Manage and ensure the recoupment of the Mandatory and Discretionary Grants as per the Skills Development Levy Act
  • Leading, coordinating and facilitating capacity building workshops with Senior Management, SALGA, LGSETA,
  •  Provincial Government of the Western Cape, tertiary institutions,
  • Providing a high-level consulting and communication strategy across Directorates and Department, to external parties to the organization on Skills Development policies and strategies
  • Provide reports on various professional matters and around the Workplace Skills Plan, Internal and External Opportunities and Discretionary Grant.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior staff
