Tasks

Event Planning

  • To effectively plan for Events on site at predetermined venues across the country and cross border, according to technical specifications and instructions pertaining to the event.
  • To arrange logistics and travel for crew in line with the company’s travel policy.
  • To execute travel plans for Facilities and personnel in the most cost-effective manner, considering all risk factors.
  • Acquire vendors for 3rd party supply needs in line with requirements of the live event, as well as using cost effective procurement.
  • Inspect event facilities on site and equipment to ensure that they conform to SuperSport and venue compliance.
  • Ensure the vendors have deployed requested services as per the SLA.
  • To reconcile and report on the operations of the live event post the production.
  • To ensure accuracy of the reconciling of information for financial auditing.

Communication

  • Effective communication between all stakeholders involved in the production process: i.e. Producers, Directors, Unit Managers, Stadium and vendor representation, to determine objectives and requirements for events.
  • Ensure an accurate detailed production Schedule is released and communicated on time to various stakeholders.
  • To provide a detailed production report after the production, on time to the relevant personnel and Managers.

Financial Control

  • Timeously reconcile expenses and timesheets post Production.
  • Liaise with Finance to reconcile Production cost against budget.
  • Adhere to timeline and deadline dates from Finance to achieve targets for payroll and supplier/vendor payments.
  • Consider the financial impact of decision making and changes associated to production to determine objectives and requirements for events.
  • Ensure all suppliers align their costings to the guidelines imposed by Financial budgets.

Quality Control

  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with event requirements, applicable regulations and laws and resolution of any problems that arise.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved.

Qualification:

  • A Diploma Production Management or equivalent qualification.

Qualification Preferred:

  • A Degree is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in similar role
