Job Description

  • A dynamic fashion retail Company is looking for an experienced Fashion Accessories Buyer with a strong balance of creative trend insight and commercial buying expertise.
  • The role focuses on sourcing, developing, and managing seasonal fashion accessories across multiple categories, ensuring ranges are trend-relevant, commercially viable, and delivered within cost, quality, and timing requirements for local and export markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify upcoming fashion trends, colours, materials, and motifs relevant to the local and export retail markets.
  • Develop and manage seasonal range plans in collaboration with design, sales, and planning teams.
  • Brief, develop, and manage products with international suppliers and factories to ensure brand alignment, quality standards, and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor and market analysis to maintain a strong market position in trend-driven accessories.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage supplier relationships to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Raise purchase orders and monitor order progress in coordination with import, logistics, and merchandising teams.
  • Analyse sales and stock performance to identify repeat opportunities, slow-moving stock, and assortment improvements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and retail teams to align product ranges with promotional and display strategies.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Fashion Buying, Retail Management, or Business.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in buying or product development within fashion, accessories, or kidswear.
  • Experience in FMCG or mass retail environments is advantageous.
  • Proven experience working with international suppliers, preferably in the Far East.
  • Strong trend forecasting, analytical, and commercial decision-making skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including costing, sales analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
