The Finance Manager serves as a key link between financial functions and operational activities, contributing to the overall success of the company.
Job responsibilities will include,
- Forecasting (Financial Planning, Analysis & Budget Management)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements across various departments.
- Lead the development and management of annual budgets and long-term financial plans. Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Financial Processing and Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal divisions and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements where applicable
- Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial stability and support operational needs. Develop strategies to mitigate cash flow risks.
- Operations
- Oversee the operational finance team (Invoicing, Payments, debtors), and ensure compliance with SOP’s
- Risk Management and Internal Controls
- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to minimize potential exposures. Implement internal controls and safeguards to protect company assets.
- Ensure all processes are in place to facilitate Tax Planning and Compliance needs within different jurisdictions operated in
- Ensure SOP’s of all core processes are updated, and that technology is used to ensure efficient flow of data.
- Keep risk register updated bi-annually, identify areas that would need intervention, and design SOP’s to address these risk areas. Ensure these SOP’s summarize relevant deliverable’s used in addressing these risks.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional development.
- The ideal candidate for this position will be a CA (SA) Bcom Financial Accounting degree & 3 year articles, 2-3 years of Financial Management experience. Experience on Cloud Accounting software and reporting is beneficial
