• The Financial Accountant is an experienced professional who supports the preparation of routine financial reports, manages journal entries, facilitates month-end, and performs balance sheet reconciliations.
• The primary focus of this role is to assist in the financial accounting of treasury transactions across the group and ensure accurate reporting for designated holding companies.

Key responsibilities:

• Plans month-end activities which includes the preparation and processing of month-end journal entries and executing a variety of actions in the accounting system.
• Prepares and processes treasury related transactions in our ERP system (SAP). Reconciles back to Treasury reports and follows up on any variances.
• Reconciles accounts, resolves discrepancies and collaborate across various finance and non-finance functions.
• Reconciles intercompany accounts and responsible for ensuring all reconciling items are cleared.
• Responsible for analyzing journals, producing data analysis and reports and assists with variance analysis.
• Responsible for the assembly of the annual audit information for external auditors.  This includes dealing with accounting issues like calculation of impairment on loans and investment in subsidiaries.
• As a partner in the accounting process, recommends how to improve efficiency using automation.
• Implements effective financial controls, including systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.
• Performs any other relevant task as requested by management.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance or related field.

Required experience:

• Seasoned experience gained in similar role preferably within a similar global organization.
• Seasoned financial accounting experience.
• Seasoned experience working on financial systems / software.
