RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop financial models to support business decisions.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of the department, identifying trends and anomalies.
  • Determine return on investment of various initiatives.
  • Analyse variances across various systems and products and conduct investigations and related remediation.

Commercial Analysis:

  • Assess market conditions and industry trends.
  • Analyse competitor performance and market positioning.
  • Prepare financial viabilities for various strategic initiatives.
  • Assess proposed costs and spending of various projects, including alignment to relevant accounting standards.

Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management.
  • Present insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to gather relevant data and insights.
  • Support cross-functional teams with financial analysis and commercial insights.

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial analysis, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with financial software and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

  • High level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure data integrity and reliability.

Commercial Acumen:

  • Good understanding of of budget, forecasting and viability principles
  • Strong grasp and understanding of accounting principles and rules

Communication Skills:

  • Presentation Skills:  Ability to create and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations.
  • Proficiency in visualising data for easy understanding by non-financial stakeholders.

Collaboration Skills:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate analytical support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Technical acumen:

  • Understanding of technical systems and infrastructure
  • Ability to identify and assess financial product requirements of tech projects
