What will you do?

  • Manage Business Unit & Business Unit Performance.
  • Manage Implementation of existing & new processes, services & procedures.
  • Strategic Actions – Manage effective streamlining of processes.
  • Manage Productivity, Quality & Work-related Problems.

  • Ensure accurate reporting.
  • Resolution of queries on financial reports, control and authorisation accounts.

  • Recommendations regarding exceptional claims decisions in collaboration with death claims consultants and management.
  • Interaction with various departments in and outside of Business Shared Services.
  • Ensure effective management of Service Level Agreements between BSS, NUB, Distribution, Actuarial, Re-insurers, internal doctors. 
  • Effective communication to respective role-players.
  • Focused and motivated team.
  • Effective Death Claims Production Centre management.
  • What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and/or Accountancy.
  • 3 years Degree/ Diploma.

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Knowledge of the Individual Life Insurance processes and products.  
  • Knowledge of death claims processes will be advantageous.
  • Leadership experience in managing a team of agents.
  • Impact of legislation, e.g. FICA, Pension Funds Act.
