Fitter Assistant needed at Belgotex Floors

Key Responsiblities:

• Production Management: Monitor and inspect equipment and the working environment, report defects, perform installations, troubleshoot and repair machinery, maintain a clean and safe workspace, follow safety regulations, and collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations.
• Operational Planning :Liaise and collaborate with supervisors, contractors, fellow employees, all plant departments, the SHEQ department, and all engineering teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
• Reporting and Documentation: Report all mechanical issues, potential breakdowns, spare parts needs, quality concerns, projects, hazards, and maintenance to the manager or artisan. Document all breakdowns, including duration, affected machines, and actions taken to restore operations.
• Safety, Health, Environment: Ensure the mechanical workshop and work areas are kept clean and organized, maintaining housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics 
• CTFL Learnership is advantageous. 
• Minimum of N3 Mechanical qualification is preferabl
• Must be physically fit to work with weight of an average of +/-60 kgs.  
• Forklift Licence is an added advantage. 
• Ability to work on heights.  
• Ability to work in confined spaces due to operational requirements.  
• Ability to work in standing position for extended hours. 
• Must be comfortable working on elevated surfaces. 
• Must be flexible to working extended hours.
