- Assist the head coach to coach the team
- He/she should under all circumstances carry out his/her duties with the necessary dignity.
- He/she should be committed to carrying out all duties with which he/she is entrusted to ensure the successful participation of the team in question.
- The Assistant Coach should be able to assist the Head Coach in planning, communicating, organising and being a father-figure/confessor.
- Always represent the team and the University positively when interacting with everyone and the public.
- Assist the Head Coach in coordinating the Team Program
- Organise and direct individual and small group practice.
- Assess player’s skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and keep records.
- Assist the Head Coach with determining the game strategy.
- Assist the Head Coach with supervising players during practices and competitions.
- Follow established procedures in the event of a player’s injury.
- Model’s sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators.
Minimum Requirements:
Academic qualifications:
- CAF C coaching license
- Post matric qualifications.
Experience
- 2 years’ (or more) experience as a football coach
- Experience of coaching University football team / ABC Motsepe league/
- USSA / Varsity Football tournament will be an advantage
- Proficiency in English
- Computer Literacy
- Basic first aid qualification.
Other requirements:
- Code 8 or 10 Driver’s license.
- No criminal record
