Qualifications    

  • Tertiary qualification (B.Tech or Diploma) in Web Development or equivalent practical experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in front-end web development, with a strong focus on e-commerce.
  • Proven, hands-on experience in Shopify theme development. You must be able to build, customise, and maintain themes from scratch or based on existing templates.
  • Knowledge of Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
  • High proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (and SASS/SCSS), and modern JavaScript (ES6 ).
  • Deep understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
  • E-commerce Acumen: Must have working experience within an e-commerce environment, with a clear understanding of product pages, collections, cart functionality, and the checkout process.
  • Version Control: Experience using Git for version control in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take responsibility and be decisive.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure
  • High focus on attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport

Key Responsibilities    

  • Document procedures, functionality and configuration changes as required for new features and plug-ins, for approval by the Team Leader.
  • Work as part of a project team for any E-commerce-related projects.
  • Assisting the web development team with all aspects of website design.
  • Must be available to travel and be on standby.
