General Assistant: Refinery needed at Southern Oil Ltd

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping: Cleaning of plant equipment, plant area, walk areas, filter and press
• Assist the plant operator with relevant plant operations
• Loading and offloading of trucks to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
• Washing of cans, drums, flow bins and filter bags
• Available for all relevant training as required and scheduled by management
• To ensure compliance with safety, food safety and environmental procedures as per SOILL policy
• Attend to any other reasonable relevant tasks allocated by management and required by operations.

Health and Safety

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Distribute safety information as and when required
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times

Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Previous related working experience advantageous
• Forklift license advantageous
