Requirements:
- Grade 9 (Must be able to read and write)
- Must be fit and healthy
- Able to work in harsh weather conditions
- Six months’ experience in a similar position, will serve as recommendation
Duties:
- Maintain municipal roads
- Remove weeds on pavements
- Clean stormwater pipes, channels, manholes and catch pits
- Install and replace stormwater pipes
- Spray herbicide
- Operate bitumen sprayer, compactor, jackhammer,
- tar cutter and compressor
- Load and unload equipment
- Open sewerage blockages
- Maintain buildings
- Clean open
- spaces, stores, machines and vehicles
- Read water and electricity meters.
