GP/GC Part-Time Piano and Theory Teacher needed at St Stithians College

Description

• The Girls’ Music Department invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from 1 January 2025. This is a peripatetic piano and theory teaching position for students from Grade 3 – Grade 12.

Requirements

• A suitable professional qualification and appropriate educational experience
• A degree in the appropriate subject area is a prerequisite
• The ability to teach music theory lessons from beginner to a Grade 6 level
• Preparing students for external music examinations
• A willingness to work after hours, along with strong adaptability and flexibility skills
• A passion and vision for music, especially within the extramural space
• An understanding of girls in the musical space
• A high level of organisational, administrative and communication skills
• An interest and vision for a student-centred holistic education programme
• A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College
• Proof of registration with SACE
• Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
