Role Purpose

Responsible for the evaluation, preparation, formatting, setup, customisation and layout of technical documents (online and offline) such as forms, terms and conditions as well as other related collateral. Responsible for the creation of strong design work and graphics for digital and occasionally print from concept to final execution.
Requirements

  1. Diploma / degree in Graphic Design, Art, graphic communications.
  2. At least 5 years’ experience in interpreting and delivering DTP projects.
  3. Knowledge of system requirements for fillable forms (eg allowances for spacing requirements and avoiding potential errors).
  4. Experience in management of collateral.
  5. Exposure to design software and proof checking experience.
  6. Up-to-date- software skills and knowledge: Adobe Creative Suite especially, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, WordPress, HTML.
  7. Coding abilities/knowledge advantageous.

Knowledge of motion design and video editing would be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Develop designs based on creative brief.
  2. Evaluate and prepare project deliverables (on and offline documentations, art files and forms) following set quality standards.
  3. Liaising with product specialists and language practitioners to create forms and see the process through from layout, changes and updates up to implementation. This includes typesetting new documents as well as amending existing documents.
  4. Display a clear understanding of the corporate identity guidelines and its application and work within the brand Corporate Identity (CI) and maintain the required brand elements while producing innovative, effective designs.
  5. Quality assures artwork produced against CI standards; as well as checks proofs, or preliminary layouts, for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors and make necessary corrections.
  6. Look for ways to develop new design within the guidelines, marketing and production opportunities.
  7. File format and PDF conversion, as well as create, test and correct fillable PDF files for online purposes.
  8. Complete own projects on time and in line with corporate identity and quality standards.
  9. Give feedback and status reports where necessary and ensure that deadlines are met.
  10. Create/typeset and update artwork to the client’s brief and exacting standards.
  11. Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency.
  12. Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the team.
  13. Effective version control of files.
  14. Understand the brief and ensure that all information and files are gathered at hand-over, if not ensure it is obtained from art director and/or production manager.
  15. Evaluate and prepare project deliverables (on and offline documentations, art files and brochures) for translation following set quality standards.
  16. Gather existing materials or work with designers and writers to create new artwork or text.
  17. Find and edit graphics, such as photographs or illustrations.
  18. Verify source files and fonts and the conversion of files for print and digital.
  19. File format and PDF conversion of the artwork is 100% checked to technical specs.
  20. Close out any requests and any related admin prior to distribution to the units / relevant stakeholder.
  21. Understand, interpret and report on the various engagement analytics associated with various communication, engagement and sales campaigns.
  22. Design communication/engagement/sales campaigns, from concept to reporting phase, incorporating various platforms to achieve the maximum results.
  23. Develop new ideas and concepts for business through creativity and innovation.
  24. Demonstrate a clear understanding of business objectives and needs and provide fit-for-purpose design solutions.
  25. Identify best practices through research and development and case studies to ensure that creative concepts and brand solutions stay relevant.
  26. Check layout, images and logo usage before handing over for loading or printing.
  27. Design work for web and other screen media and ensure that work is correct for the medium.
  28. Manage colour correction throughout file creation.
  29. Check proofs of all articles and information using expert attention to detail.
  30. Collaborate with, Marketing and Agency teams to ensure synergies between segment/business brand and marketing activities.
  31. Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
  32. Participate and contribute to a culture which build rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
  33. Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.
  34. Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas.
