Key Responsibilities
- Leading the formulation and updating of the Metallurgy Strategy for all the Operations.
- Managing technical controls and governance of the Metallurgy discipline across all Operations.
- Providing consultancy services to the Metallurgy department.
- Managing continuous coal processing efficiency improvement and cost reduction within the Metallurgy discipline.
- Overseeing the constant flow of suitably qualified and experienced talent within the discipline through ensuring that development and exposure programs are in place.
- Ensuring integrity of coal sampling, analyses and reporting of results.
- Monitoring trends in the Metallurgy discipline.
- Liaising with external stakeholders and representing the Company at relevant industry forums.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Metallurgy.
- A business qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Surface Operations Manager role.
