  • As a Group Reporting Specialist you’ll be supporting the delivery of providing accurate and useful financial information, covering senior management and shareholders of the organisation. This will help us excel at providing accurate financial information to stay ahead of the game.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics that drive change in the business which are tailored in level of detail for the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in order to understand their reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports.
  • Create and manage data visualizations to present complex information clearly.
  • Provide training and support to team members on reporting tools and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data reporting.
  • Document reporting processes and methodologies.
  • Optimize existing reports for better performance and usability.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to support data-driven decision making.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and processes.
  • Monitor financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare presentation materials for investors, stakeholders, and management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and other third parties during the audit process.
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to financial reporting and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cash flow forecasts.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Preparation of all Group accounting policies and ensure that all new accounting policies have been accounted for and are in compliance with IFRS.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the Group financial statements, including preparation and review of note disclosures for the Annual Report and interim and year-end results announcements.
  • Assisting in ensuring that Group Financial Reporting processes operate effectively and that defined timescales are adhered to.
  •  Act as a key Group Reporting contact and reviewer of submissions to the Group Reporting Team by the various operational segments and advising on technical accounting matters.
  • Act as a key Group Reporting resource on Finance projects as required, applying knowledge of IFRS, the Group policies and procedures as well as interpersonal and project management skills to ensure project deliverables are of a high standard and that projects progress within the agreed timescales.
  • Participate as an effective team member in working collaboratively with your line manager, peers, business units and relevant others to achieve business goals.

 Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
  • Chartered accountant with a minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualification experience
  • Ability for strategic thinking, with robust creative problem solving and inquisitive skills
  • Financial accounting reporting experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
  • Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
  • Hands-on experience with business and financial software preferred. MS Dynamics Nav/Business Central, FloQast, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1/Cognos) and Workiva are a plus
  • Familiarity with SOX Compliance
