Grout Plant Operator needed at Gold One Group Limited

Job specification

• Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
• Fitter Aide/Service Person certificate
• 2-3 years’ experience in a grout plant environment would be advantageous
• Proven experience as a Grout Plant Operator
• Technical knowledge of grout mixing, pumping, and related machinery
• Proficient in English and any of the 11 official languages
• Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
• Must be able to take instructions and communicate over a two-way radio
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must be able to work under pressure
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

 Responsibilities

• Operate grout plant equipment, including mixers, pumps, and storage systems
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper grout consistency and flow.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of grout equipment
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations
• Conduct quality control checks on grout mixtures and adjust as necessary
• Maintain records of production, material usage, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
• Manage and maintain in the area of responsibility following mine standards, procedures, and practices
• Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.”
