Handyman needed at Hyatt Regency

Summary

• Hyatt Regency Cape Town is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks within the Hotel. The role requires a problem-solver with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.

Key duties but not limited to:

• Perform general repairs, maintenance and installations within the Hotel.
• Fix minor plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogged drains, or replacing faucets.
• Repair and maintain electrical systems, including replacing light fixtures, outlets, and wiring,
• Patch drywall, paint and perform minor carpentry work.
• Inspect the hotel for necessary repairs and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials needed for various repair tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients about repair needs.

Qualifications
Qualifications and requirements

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repairs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certification in plumbing, electrical or carpentry (a plus)
