Handyman needed at Servest SA

• Applications are invited to apply for the Handyman vacancy to join a team based at ST John’S Collage . This role reports directly to the Facilities Manager in the Facilities Management Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12
• Technical tertiary qualification would be an advantage
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Technical background, practical training on basic handyman services
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Have sound knowledge of a maintenance environment
• Previous responsibility and successful performance on comparable FM contracts
• Proven knowledge of contracts

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Strong skills in painting and surface preparation – Knowledge of various Painting methods
• Strong practical skills in general carpentry and steel work
• Replace broken tiles according to TAL specifications.
• Possesses basic electrical knowledge, including safe handling of wiring, plugs, and light fittings
• Knowledge of basic plumbing
• Experienced in repairing and replacing door locks and related fittings
• Perform any other related duties incidental to the work described herein
• Skilled in using tools and equipment of the trade.
