The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Routine maintenance on processing equipment
- Attending to unscheduled processing interruptions resulting from breakdowns during shift
- Installation and maintenance of processing equipment, including weekends
- Manage production, mechanical and electrical workflow
- Continuous interaction and communication with management
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies, HACCAP requirements and standards
- Adhere and maintain the 20 Keys model in the department
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in electrical/mechanical repair of poultry processing and rendering plant equipment
- Ability to diagnose and rectify problems in an electrical plant
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a high pressurized environment
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Must be pro-active and ability to work accurately
- Must be flexible and able to work weekends and irregular hours
- Must have reliable transport
