Head: Asset -Backed Recoveries Job at Danté Personnel Recruitment

• A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced recoveries and legal collections professional to take ownership of a high-volume, asset-backed recovery function within a complex, performance-driven environment.

Minimum requirements:

• Economics or Degree in Commerce, LLB advantageous (postgraduate qualification advantageous)
• Minimum 7 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in senior legal collections management
• Strong commercial and strategic leadership skills
• Experience in high-volume recoveries and legal environments
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive performance
• Strong understanding of commercial principles within asset-backed recoveries, including portfolio performance, profitability, cost-to-collect and return on investment
• Ability to assess and implement commercially viable recovery strategies based on the value, risk and recoverability of assets
• Define and drive recovery strategies across portfolios
• Oversee call centre collections and legal escalation decisions
• Manage end-to-end legal recovery processes
• Optimise asset recovery across movable and immovable assets
• Manage external attorney firms and performance
• Drive ROI, cost-to-collect, recovery rates and overall portfolio performance
• Ensure strong governance, compliance and stakeholder alignment
