  • Our Head of Product Connectivity will play a crucial role in efficiently driving all connectivity applications across our business and partners. This role includes managing and eventually expanding a small team to ensure smooth operations and comprehensive analytics. 
  • Day in the Life of the Head of Connectivity 

API Roadmap and Performance Ownership: 

  • Work with the Chief of Product and Global Partnership Program Manager on the API roadmap. 
  • Oversee performance of connections, including new builds, upgrades, and rebuilds, identifying and implementing improvements. 

Collaboration and Connectivity Implementation: 

  • Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, customer service, engineering, and product) to define and implement connectivity solutions. 
  • Work with external partners and vendors to establish and maintain robust connections and integrations. 

Technical Troubleshooting and Efficiency: 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime. 
  • Implement improvements in XML, hotel PMS, and channel management connections for efficiency and agility. 

Operational Scalability and Strategic Insights: 

  • Focus on operational scalability to reduce manual workload across the business. 
  • Provide key insights to support strategic decision-making and reduce integration churn by guiding and supporting external partners. 

Leadership and Team Management: 

  • Manage and develop direct reports through training, mentorship, and performance management. 
  • Contribute to the overall success of the business as part of the Leadership Team.

Requirements

Key skills: 

  • Proven experience in connectivity management, integration, and API management. 
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of APIs, networking protocols, and integration technologies 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results. 
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and industry trends. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
