ABOUT THE ROLE

  • As a champion of Cotton On Group culture, our Head of People and Performance partners with business leaders to drive the strategic agenda for the African market. In this role, you will develop and implement robust people systems and processes, leading a team of dedicated HR and recruitment business partners to foster opportunities that inspire and empower our workforce. This position is crucial in creating an environment where our employees can excel, aligning our HR strategy with the overarching goals of the Cotton On Group.
  • Strategic Leadership: Influence and drive organizational leadership to align with the strategic direction and future growth objectives of the business and workforce. 
  • Workforce Planning: Develop and deliver a comprehensive workforce plan that supports our growth strategy and ensures the creation of a diverse workforce representative of our communities.
  • Talent Acquisition: Execute innovative attraction campaigns to identify top talent and coach leaders on building effective networks to source exceptional candidates.
  • Compliance and Legislation: Stay updated with legislative and compliance changes, ensuring the evolution of people practices in line with regulatory requirements.
  •  People Development: Lead and embed people development programs across the workforce, enhancing skills and competencies.
  • Global Alignment: Collaborate with the global team to achieve people-related milestones and implement global initiatives effectively within the local context.
  • Cultural Leadership: Enable and empower leaders to maintain and nurture our culture of belonging, connection, and wellbeing, ensuring our values are embedded in all aspects of the employee experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years HR experience, with broad knowledge of all aspects of HR inclusive of talent, HR administration, benefits, compensation, employee relations and compliance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
  • Experience working in change environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity. 
  • Adept in Microsoft suite, working knowledge of Oracle and ADP preferred. 
  • Results driven with a high sense of urgency; skilled at managing and facilitating change, demonstrated agility, possesses high sense of initiative and innovation
