The Head of Procurement directs controls and co-ordinates all procurement activities of the Corporation.
- Develop and implement a Supply Chain Management Framework that will deliver on procurement needs and requirements whilst adhering to our strategic direction.
- Responsible for the delivery and execution of all procurement objectives across the brands.
- Develop, set and achieve relevant procurement objectives and KPIs as set in groups business plans.
- Assist Supply Chain Executive in developing of the annual procurement business plan and on approval, ensure sound implementation.
- Provide functional leadership to the Procurement team by continuously tracking, monitoring and measuring the team’s performance against set standards and performance targets.
- Develop and enforce compliance to all processes and procedures in areas of responsibility.
- Identify and manage all risks embedded in the procurement supply chain.
- Lead the contract management process across the Corporation which will include, amongst other, regular reviews and development of Service Level Agreements.
- Contracts negotiation and specific terms and conditions implementation.
- Ensure that the central contract register is maintained, together with master contracts.
- Ensure all legislative requirements are understood and incorporated into controls, policies and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop/ Review policies and processes in areas of responsibility.
- Develop and manage key supplier relationships.
- Prepare quarterly/monthly reports to the Executive team, Board and relevant Committee’s providing a review of activities and achievements.
- Ensure sound administration and records management across all SCM processes and procedures.
- Assess the cost efficiency of Supply Chain Management processes which involves central procurement.
- Lead, develop and motivate the procurement team, provides strategic direction to be in line with the organisation’s objectives.
- Have a good understanding of Food and Food Related regulations.
- Builds category expertise.
- Engages with Franchise Advisory Council and Menu Committee meetings.
- Key price negotiations together with Supply Chain Executive.
- Manages the procurement process and oversees all procurement activities. ensuring they are in line with set rules, regulations and policies.
- They create procurement guidelines to guide Procurement activities and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
- Fosters and manages relationships with all stakeholders in line with the organisation objectives.
- Collaborate with key functional leaders within the organisation to achieve group strategy.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Procurement or Supply chain
- A post graduate qualification and industry certifications such as CIPS /SAPICS/ APICS will be advantageous.
- A min of 10 years’ experience in a procurement/supply chain environment – in the FMCG environment. Across multiple food categories.
- A proven track record in managing Supply Chain Management processes.
