RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery

  • Ensure successful project execution through Hungry Lion’s established project management frameworks, in collaboration with project sponsors who are typically heads of specific business departments accountable for the successful delivery of projects.

Project Oversight

  • Provide full-time oversight of all projects, leveraging existing project management resources to ensure that project management procedures are consistently followed and upheld.

Development and Maintenance

  • Project Management Principles and Philosophy: Cultivate and uphold the project management ethos and standards of Hungry Lion.
  • Processes and Structures: Enhance and maintain the project management processes and structures within the PMO, as well as across the broader Hungry Lion operational framework, ensuring effective integration and interface with various business departments.

Regular Reporting 

  • Communicate regularly (typically once every two weeks) with the Projects Steering Committee and Department Heads, providing:
  • Updates on general project progress and current status.
  • Identification of high-level risks and challenges that require broader organisational resolution.

Management of Strategic Projects

  • In addition to overseeing the PMO, the Head will manage their own high-priority projects, which are of strategic importance to the company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BEng, BCom, or Business Science degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification or formal qualification in Project Management.
  • An MBA is desirable.
  • Demonstrated senior experience working within a PMO environment or managing a PMO.
  • Proven track record of managing project managers.
  • Experience in or exposure to program and portfolio management.
