About the Role
This executive technical role leads the warranty and repair & maintenance (R&M) strategy for a major automotive manufacturer. Utilizing SAP for materials management and Oracle for financial data analysis, the head ensures compliance with global warranty standards. Their leadership is pivotal for mitigating operational risk associated with fleet maintenance and leveraging data to optimize the profitability of service contracts and aftermarket operations.
Description
- Lead the team to facilitate delivery and achievement of results.
- Ensure continuous improvement on benchmarking including global best practice integration.
- Manage the Repair and Maintenance Contract (RMC) Portfolio and Warranty Portfolio.
- Track the RMC and Warranty portfolio performance.
- Investment planning in collaboration with technical & service.
- Ensure processing & assess invoices.
- Create and implement a customer First mindset in the team and manage customer feedback.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
Skills:
- Advanced EXCEL is a prerequisite.
- High level communication, interpersonal relations and negotiation skills.
- Assertive and possess decision making skills.
- Customer focused with a results driven approach.
- Staff management skills including supervision, co-ordination, training and disciplining of staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
Experience:
- Experience of warranty and maintenance contracts as well as possession of technical knowledge – 5 years.
- MAN and / or VW heavy commercial vehicles – 2 years.
Career Growth & Education
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Management, supplemented by extensive experience in the commercial vehicle sector, is mandatory. Career progression moves toward Aftersales Director or Chief Operating Officer roles within the global automotive industry. Obtaining executive leadership certifications and mastering digital fleet management systems through professional bootcamps can unlock C-suite opportunities in international logistics and manufacturing.
Salary & Financial Insight
