Health and Safety Officer needed at Tsebo Solution

• We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer to join our team and champion a culture of safety across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and promoting best practices that keep our people safe and our operations running smoothly.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Develop, implement, and monitor Health & Safety policies, procedures, and systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to ensure employees understand their safety responsibilities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for all H&S matters, providing expert advice to management and staff.
• Support the business in fostering a positive safety culture across all departments.

Skills and Competencies    

• Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally within hospitality
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Up-to-date understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.

Qualifications    

• National Senior Certificate
• A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
