Purpose of the Role
- To safely transport heavy equipment and machinery between sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
- Operating a heavy-duty tilt tray truck to load, secure, transport and offload industrial equipment
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
- Ensuring compliance with all road safety and company operational procedures
- Completing accurate trip sheets, delivery notes and related documentation
- Assisting with loading/unloading and recovery operations when required
- Maintaining the truck and equipment in a clean, safe and operational condition
Criteria
- Valid South African Code EC (14) driver’s licence with valid PDP
- Forklift Operator licence
- Proven experience of at least 5 years driving heavy-duty trucks (8-ton or similar)
- Strong knowledge of load securing and safe transportation practices
- Good driving record and track history
- Sober habits and high reliability
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
