Fill cylinders with commercial gases (O2, N2 and CO2) on time for analysis and distribution.

• Fill cylinders with commercial gases (O2, N2 and CO2) on time for analysis and distribution.
• If cylinder valves are damaged in any way, have oil on them or if cylinder is in bad condition, send to Repair Station
• Maintain adequate stock of essential gases.
• Sort out cylinders according to gas types and separate foreign cylinders on the ramp – all empties to be moved into plant and filled or to repair station, This involves de-palletising and palletising, plus pre-filling checks.
• Vacuum cylinders that have no positive pressure.
• Record daily filling operations on Production Record sheet.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to Supervisor
• Monitor test dates for cylinder repairs.
• Maintain a high level of safety and housekeeping in work area.
• Cover for other colleagues on other filling Product racks.
• Job carried out according to work instruction, QA Policy and Safety Policy
• Mix / Blend appropriate gases O2 / N2 / Ar / CO2 for mixtures according to standards
• Fill high purity Ar plus commercial Ar according to appropriate standards.
• De-palletise, sort, carry out pre-fill checks on cylinders and move onto filling rack
• Once full, seal, move into stock
• To rotate on shift system as per roster
• To load and offload containers and trucks
• Load / offload of cylinder baskets / pallets.
• Send defective cylinders to maintenance
• Keeping sorting area tidy.
• Send cylinder to paint shop, replace defective straps.
• Report defective baskets / pallets.
• Send all full and faulty cylinders to investigation area.
• Ensure that all full products are in allocated areas.
• Sort cylinders by product type and cylinder sizes for filling.
• Ensure that faded / old stickers are removed from cylinders to be filled.
• Ensure all inspection/ pre-filling checks are carried out on cylinders for filling.
• Ensure empties moved to empty platform for filling, in pallets / baskets
• Ensure that All scales, pressure gauges , Infra-red Thermometers calibrated or verified.
• Report leaks on Storage tanks to Shift Supervisors.
• Adhere to food safety prerequisite programmes (PRPs) , SOP’ s and the food safety management system  to meet customer and product specifications of food grade gases
