Key Purpose

  • Assist the Head of HR with the delivery of all People Services across the Corporate Function division, providing HR support to the various central services departments.], ensuring alignment with Department and Discovery People Strategy.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

  • Responsible for HR admin queries – leave, bursary, maternity, payroll, incentives, finance admin etc.
  • End to end recruitment process.
  • Managing onboarding, cross boarding and off boarding processes
  • Coordinate training and development activities.
  • Help with the planning of events and ad hoc queries.
  • Provide IR support to Line Management
  • Ensure staff movements are recorded accurately on Success Factor
  • Provide assistance in creating new job profiles or revising existing profiles.
  • Assist with the promotion and salary adjustment process.
  • Conduct the stay and exit interview.
  • Assist in general with talent management and other strategic HR initiatives.
  • Assisting performance reviews and queries
  • Provide feedback on engagement survey and manage focus groups.
  • Data integrity and reporting
  • Updating of position management
  • Updating of area documentations
  • Managing of bursary, performance, promotion cycles.

Personal Attributes and Skills

  • Knowledge of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of labour legislation
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team.
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good report writing and presenting skills.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems (SAP Success Factor) will be a plus.

Education and Experience

  • Matric Certificate / Grade 12
  • NQF Level 6 Qualification: HR Diploma / Degree
  • Minimum of 3-year work experience in talent acquisition
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as an HR Generalist or 5 Year experience as an HR administrator.
  • Full understanding of smart people.
  • Full understanding of IR processes.
