HVAC Technologist/Engineer Job at Bidvest Facilities Management

ROLE PURPOSE

• Manage and deliver HVAC/Mechanical engineering projects for large-scale facilities.

MAIN OUTPUTS

• Experience in managing and delivering HVAC/Mechanical engineering projects for large-scale facilities.
• Ability to conduct physical condition assessments and technical specifications on mechanical assets.
• Explore and recommend innovative methods, based on best practices, in order to bring about cost-effective solutions.
• Manage SLA agreements with suppliers and contractors to maintain and improve service delivery standards.
• Provide technical support to the on-site operations and maintenance team.
• Ensure that incident or emergency fault-finding and rectification complies with the relevant legislation and facility functionality.
• Ensure quality control, outputs and project-related work are completed on time.
• Provide timely feedback to the Supervisor & Client on progress of technical projects and initiatives.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, and professional reports on technical works.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• B-Tech, BSc Eng or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years’ experience as a mechanical engineer/technologist in the field of HVAC.
• 3 years’ Experience in managing and delivering HVAC/Mechanical engineering projects for large-scale facilities.
• Ability to conduct condition assessments and technical specifications assets.
• Can develop proposals and feasibility studies to present to senior management/client base.
• HVAC-R trade test will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components
• MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level)
• SAP knowledge
• Knowledge of OHS Act
• Valid SA Driver’s License
