Responsibilities:

System Management and Maintenance:

  • Manage and maintain CETA’s IT systems, including servers, networks, operating systems, and databases.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, backups, and system optimizations to ensure reliability and performance.

Security Management:

  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect CETA’s IT infrastructure from cybersecurity threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
  • Monitor system logs, security alerts, and access controls to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities proactively. 

Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting:

  • Respond promptly to technical issues and user-reported problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize troubleshooting tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing inquiries, and resolving technical issues related to IT systems and applications.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to promote IT best practices and enhance user proficiency.

System Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to IT systems and data security.

System Upgrades and Expansion:

  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and expansions in collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance system performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Requirements

Desired Skills, Experience and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role, managing IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and database management systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and tools for system protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide user support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
