Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A diploma in Library or Information Science, Knowledge Management, Anthropology, Sociology, Heritage or Cultural Management, African Studies, Food Technology, Consumer Science or Horticulture.
- 1 year coordination/research/consultation experience in projects and/or community projects related to food/food systems, and/or indigenous plants
- Demonstrable experience with Indigenous Knowledge Systems
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English
- A code 2 driver’s license
- A B-degree or a BTech will be advantageous
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Implement IKSDC project activities and complete administrative and logistical functions to ensure that the project is properly administered.
- Engagement with communities
- Organisation and maintenance of the distributed National Indigenous Knowledge Managements System (NIKMAS)
- Provide training in support of the NIKMAS system
