Infrastructure Architect, Cloud and Integration needed at Exxaro Resources

Position Overview:

• As our Cybersecurity Infrastructure Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and maintaining a comprehensive infrastructure architecture that meets both our business objectives and security requirements.
• Your role will be pivotal in defining and enforcing architecture standards across all domains—cloud, security, network, server, and storage—ensuring that our infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and scalable.

Minimum Requirements    
QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc Computer Science (Essential/Minimum or)
• BSc Information Technology (Essential/Minimum or)
• B Degree (Hons) (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
• Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE: 

• 6-8 years’ experience in Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture and Technology Architecture, with Project Management experience in the Information Technology/Information Management environment.
• Expertise in architecting, designing, and implementing complex, scalable, and high- availability infrastructure solutions. Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, M365, AWS and hybrid cloud architectures.) (Essential/Minimum) (Operational)

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (Essential/Minimum)

• Open Group Architecture Framework Founda (Recommended/Desirable)
• CompTIA Cloud+ (Recommended/Desirable)
• Project Management Professional (Recommended/Desirable)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (Recommended/Desirable)
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (Recommended/Desirable)

Duties & Responsibilities    
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

Ability to:

• Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive infrastructure architecture roadmaps aligned with business goals and enterprise strategy. 
•  Define and enforce architecture standards and guidelines across all enterprise infrastructure domains (cloud, security, network, server, storage) to ensure consistency, security, and efficiency. 
• Drive the integration of new technologies and systems into the existing infrastructure, focusing on scalability, performance optimization, and risk management. 
• Ensure architecture decisions are implemented consistently across the organisation to support the business strategy following an Enterprise Architecture framework. 
• Conduct integrated enterprise infrastructure systems analysis such as performance analysis and identifying bottlenecks and recommend enterprise infrastructure solutions to support overall business objectives. 
• Support, resolve, and document architectural issues. 
• Oversee the performance, standards, and strategic direction of the enterprise infrastructure architecture domain, ensuring alignment to organisational objectives.
